Brulo Sabro Galaxy
If you’re a regular reader of MyDryBar you’ll probably remember me reviewing Brulo’s Gose Beer – and truth be told it wasn’t great. As such, I was a bit cynical when I got sent a can of Brulo Sabro Galaxy IPA.
If you’re not yet familiar with the Brulo brewery they are a relatively small UK brewer that has over 10 different alcohol-free beers to try … one of which is this IPA.
Sabro Galaxy IPA is the second release from Brulos’s DDH Series (double dry hops). The beer uses a heady combination of hops (Sabro and Galaxy) as well as three types of malts (Pilsner, Pale Ale, Flaked Wheat).
So was this top-rated beer on Untappd a winner or another Brulo disappointment? Well, you’ll just need to read the review below to find out.
Is Brulo Sabro Galaxy any good?
To answer the question above … YES. What a delightfully refreshing beer. Perhaps my expectations had been lowered given their Gose beer but I found Galaxy Sabro to be a tasty treat indeed. On the first sip, you get background citrus flavours from the Galaxy hops (picking out lemon and pineapple flavours) and this blends in with the subtle bitterness that plays a part. Overall one of the best alcohol-free IPAs I’ve had in quite a while.
Aroma & Appearance
Once opened you certainly get a whiff of those citrus aromas with a slight background of sweet maltiness. When poured into a glass this beer has a light amber look with a low, frothy head.
Again, Brulo gets bucey bonus points for attention-grabbing packaging and graphics. The good news is that Sabro Galaxy IPA is vegan-friendly and has zero alcohol but is not gluten-free. When it comes to availability, you can find this beer on a number of alcohol-free retailer sites.
Where can you buy Brulo Sabro Galaxy?
At the time of writing, you can buy this alcohol-free beer from a number of online specialists as well as on their own site.
