Brulo Gose
Brulo are an interesting alcohol-free brewer. Founded in 2019 by James Brown (not the Get On Up guy) Brulo was created to bring alcohol-free drinkers the latest and tastiest craft beer. As an independent brewery Brulo is a lot more creative with its offering and has created 12 different beers from multiple IPAs and an alcohol-free Gose beer, which I am trying today.
So what exactly is a Gose beer (pronounced “goes-uh”? Well, it was actually invented all the way back in the 15th century in Germany. In essence, a Gose beer is a pale, unfiltered wheat beer with key flavourings of coriander and salt. What makes up Bruno’s alcohol-free Gose? There are in fact 5 different fruit flavours including Mango, Passionfruit, Guava, Apricot, and Orange.

Is Brulo’s Gose any good?
Taste
I am afraid this isn’t one for me. With Brulo Gose you certainly get a lot of fruit flavours but it tastes more like a mixed fruit soft drink than an alcohol-free beer. Sure, it is quite refreshing and would probably be nice to sip on under the sun but it’s just too fruity and sweet for my liking.
Aroma & Appearance
As expected, when you crack open a can you certainly get a hit of citrus fruits. When poured into a glass this beer has a cloudy, light amber look with a faint trace of a head.
Bonus points
Well, firstly, I am going to give Brulo bonus points for the packaging. They have an impactful and colourful eye on each beer (representing being fully awake and present in the moment). The beer itself is vegan friendly but not gluten-free, it is also pretty low in calories (just 99 per can).
