I am quite surprised this is the first STRYKK product I’ve reviewed given their reputation in the alcohol-free community. STRYKK has created a number of alcohol-free spirits, alternatives to the classics such as gin, vodka, Aperol and for this review … their alcohol-free rum and cola.
As you can see this is a pre-mixed alcohol-free cocktail that has grown in popularity thanks to its convenience, especially for a picnic or outdoor activity. STRYKK has combined their ‘Not R*m’ spirit which has hints of ‘vanilla, raisin, oakwood, sugarcane’ and this is mixed with a traditional cola to create a tasty and refreshing mocktail.

Is Strykk Not Rum any good?
Taste
Although there was a familiar rum and coke flavour to Strykk’s offering it tasted a bit ‘off’. Difficult to place really but the combination was a bit chemically, slightly odd. It wasn’t horrendous and I finished off the glass but compared to other alcohol-free rums it didn’t hit the mark for me. For me it was more like a spiced root beer flavour than a traditional rum and coke.
Aroma & Appearance
Well it certainly looks and smells like a rum and coke but again there is a strange chemically smell to it.
Bonus points
Ok bonus points for the packaging – I like the bold font and colours which help STRYKK stand out in the crowd. This drink will also be great for those with restrictions as it is both gluten-free, vegan friendy and low in calories. When it comes to availability I did struggle to find a place with much stock, your best bet will be an online specialist.
