So, Pink Spirit is the fourth Lyre’s spirit I have tried out (there are currently eleven to try). The first two Coffee Originale (coffee liquor alternative) and Italian Spritz (Aperol alternative) were both great but the latest one I tried, American Malt (bourbon alternative), was not. However as a fan of gins and having tried a number of alcohol-free gins I had high hopes that Lyre’s would knock it out of the park with their Lyre’s Pink London Spirit.
With Pink Spirit, Lyre’s have tried to capture the essence of a classic pink gin and as such have used appropriate flavour profiles including rose, cherry and blackberry! It is best to mix their spirits with a mixer so I used a classic Indian tonic and added some berries.
So was their alcohol-free pink gin better than the Malt and worthy of a position on My Dry Bar? Well, you’ll need to read my review below to find out.

Is Lyre’s Pink London Spirit any good?
Taste
Well, if you like a pink gin then this alcohol-free version is bound to please. Lyre’s have pulled this out of the bag and created a tasty gin indeed. On first taste, you get flavours of the classic red berries (red berry, cherry and blackberry) which has been expertly blended with the traditional gin flavours of juniper. The added tonic gives just enough carbonation and subtle bitterness to create a very refreshing gin and tonic.
Aroma & Appearance
To be fair its called pink gin and that’s exactly what it is. Pink! When added to tonic and ice Pink London Spirit makes for a very attractive cocktail indeed. The aroma you get is very similar to a typical gin so its a very realistic alternative indeed.
Bonus points
Again I love Lyre’s packaging. This time we have a rather flamboyant London pigeon with racing goggles. Lyre’s products are generally suitable for most people as they contain no alcohol and are suitable for vegan-free and gluten-free diets … and its only 38 calories (per 100 ml). Pink London Spirit is one of Lyre’s more recent products so the best place to find it is online.

It also works well in alcohol-free versions of cocktails such as a Pink Negroni.
