FREE DAMM LAGER
Free Damm alcohol-free lager is a new drink by established brewers – S. A. Damm. This Spanish brewery is pretty famous for its beers including amongst others the popular Estrella lager.
It isn’t really surprising that this brewer has followed in the footsteps of other brewers and created a non-alcoholic version. Using vacuum distillation they have removed all the alcohol from the beer so you’re left with a refreshing and clean lager beer.
So how did Free Damm beer taste? Well, you’ll just have to read the review below.
Is Free Damm lager any good?
Taste
Free Damm was a very satisfactory alcohol-free lager, refreshing and light … perfect for a summer’s day. That said it didn’t blow my socks off as it was quite light in body and just a bit too watery and carbonated for my liking. There were hints of malt with quite a sweet back flavour. Although it does contain glucose-fructose syrup (fairly rare with brewers) it doesn’t impact the taste. I’ve had a lot worst but also drank better alcohol-free lagers; as such it gets average scores.
Aroma & Appearance
I find it had a pretty subtle smell and wasn’t offensive in any way. It poured light amber into the glass and … happy days … it had a decent head!
Bonus points
Free Damm will please a large crowd thanks to it being gluten-free and vegan friendly with a 0% ABV. This alcohol-free beer is also available in a large number of supermarkets and online specialists.
