ZIPPY AF Sour Beer
I’ve tried too many sour beers of late so when this cool looking can of Zippy AF Sour Beer was delivered I had high expectations.
This alcohol-free sour beer is the creation of UK brewer, Only With Love, which was founded only two years ago in Sussex. Their take on beers is to make drinks that are sustainably created, packaged and delivered. Only With Love create a range of kombucha and beers including non-alcoholic ones such as Happy AF, Juicy AF, Polar AF and of course Zippy AF.
To create this sour experience Only With Love uses a classic kettle-soured pale ale and adds an enormous amount of strawberries as well as zesty lime. After it has been specially fermented it’s ready to drink for a larger-than-life taste experience.

Is Zippy AF sour beer any good?
Taste
Well, if you’re into sour beers, you’ll certainly enjoy drinking Zippy AF. On first taste, you get a really sour sensation from the added citrus which is accompanied by some more subtle strawberry flavors. There isn’t much of a ‘beer’ experience I found, although it has a similar carbonation but was still a tasty drink. I had this sour beer with a Thai take-away and it was a great match, balancing the various flavours that came through.
Aroma & Appearance
You can certainly pick out the tart aromas from this beer when you first take a whiff. In the glass, it has a light cloudy amber appearance with a short frothy head.
Bonus points
Check out this packaging! Big, bold fonts, colours and characters really do make sure that this alcohol-free sour stands out on the shelves. Production does seem to be particularly low with this drink (it had sold out on the brewer’s site). Your best bet is to try an online alcohol-free specialist.
