Halo Alcohol-free IPA Beer
Alcohol-free Halo IPA is the creation of Black Isle Brewery, a well-respected Scottish brewery founded by David Gladwin back in 1998. They do things a bit differently to other breweries thanks to naturally grown barley and hops as well as running two craft beer and pizza bars in Inverness and Fort William.
Black Isle offers two low-alcohol beers (0.3% ABV) – the lager and the IPA I tried today. As mentioned above they only use the highest quality natural ingredients to produce their beers and it shows with their global reputation.
So, the question is, is Halo alcohol-free beer one for the Scots to be proud of? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.
Is Halo Alcohol-free IPA Beer any good?
Taste
This was a pretty decent IPA beer. From the first sip you get a mouthful of tasty hop and citrus flavours. This beer also retained the IPA profile with a nice balace of bitter and sweet making it an overall refreshing drink.
Aroma & Appearance
When you open a can of Halo you can expect some interesting tropical aromas. In the glass it pours with a light amber colour and a pretty impressive frothy head.
Bonus points
This non-alcoholic beer is 100% organic and just 0.3% ABV. Your challenge though is trying to locate a can of this outside the UK.
