I haven’t reviewed many alcohol-free Belgium Blonde beers so I was pretty excited when I came across Biere des Amis.
Biere des Amis is a brewery in Belgium that produce both alcoholic and alcohol-free beers. If you haven’t already guessed by the name it’s designed to be drunk with friends. The beer is made with only the finest, natural ingredients from Belgium which you certainly pick out in the taste.
The brewers have utilized a clever way to remove the alcohol. They put their beer under low pressure in a vacuum to evaporate it off! What you are left with is a beer that has a fantastic body without it being too light.

Is Biere des amis any good?
Taste
This alcohol-free beer is certainly one of the tastiest Belgium beers I’ve tried. On first mouthful, you get sweet malty flavours with some hoppy bitterness. To be honest, if you’ve had a Belgian blonde beer in the past you’ll certainly pick up on some of the classic characteristics with Biere Des Amis. The carbonation is also great so the body holds and it doesn’t feel too light in the mouth. Overall a great beer that I recommend trying.
Aroma & Appearance
On the nose, this non-alcoholic beer gives off some classic blonde beer aromas – especially the bitter hops. In the glass, it has a medium amber colour and a short frothy head.
Bonus points
I like the small brown bottle it comes in. Feels very European in the hand. It is unknown if this is vegan-friendly or gluten-free but the beer is 100% free of alcohol. When it comes to availability you are most likely to find this beer via an online specialist.
