Alcohol-Free Blood Orange Pale Ale
Brew By Numbers (BBNO) is an interesting brewery. Set up in 2011 by two friends Tom and Dave in London, this microbrewing business has grown strength to strength and today has almost 400 different beers from a range of types including this alcohol-free blood orange pale ale.
Although this beer may be non-alcoholic you can expect a full flavour craft beer experience along with a zesty kick from the blood orange flavor. Question is, is this ‘bloody’ lovely or ‘bloody’ horrible? Well, you’ll just need to read the review below to find out.
Is Blood Orange Pale Ale any good?
Taste
I had some trepidation when I bought this can of alcohol-free beer but truth be told this ale was pretty good. When it first hits your mouth you get a refreshing hoppy beer with bitter notes and a background flavour of tangy orange which isn’t overwhelming. I would have liked a bit more carbonation to the beer but the taste is pretty decent. Certainly, one to enjoy during the lazy, hazy days of summer.
Aroma & Appearance
On the nose, you get some hoppy bitter aromas emanating from the beer. When poured into a glass, as you can see it has a light amber look with low carbonation and a short frothy head.
Bonus points
This alcohol-free blood orange beer has only 0.5% ABV and is suitable for vegans. It’s also worth shouting out the great design of the beer can, loving those 60s, beatle-esque coloured circles. The best place you can find Brew By Numbers alcohol-free pale ale is from the online specialist below.
