Sea Arch, Non-Alcoholic Spirit Review

Sea Arch is the brainchild of UK couple Sarah and Geoff. Like many other non-alcoholic drink creators they wanted to create a sophisticated drink without the impact of the alcohol

Sea Arch takes inspiration from the beach as its foundation and as such features a flavour profile that is pure and refreshing. Even the name ‘Sea Arch’ is super relevant to beaches given its a famous rock formation found in the South West of the UK.

This alcohol-free spirit is created through a classic distillation technique where botanical extracts are added and alcohol removed to leave a clean and crisp-tasting spirit. Some ingredients of note include juniper, sugar kelp, samphire, coriander, blood orange and grapefruit.

I had Sea Arch as a pre-made cocktail that I bought from Ocado but you can buy the spirit in its own standalone bottle. The question is, is Sea Arch a breath of fresh air? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.

Is Sea Arch spirit any good?

Taste

I very much enjoyed this drink. I found it to be an interesting take on a GnT with some unique flavours that complimented each other to create a balanced and refreshing mocktail. You can certainly pick out the fiery juniper and then you get sensations of citrus fruit with a subtle salty background. Certainly one that I would drink again, neat, with some tonic.

Aroma & Appearance

If you are familiar with a classic gin and tonic expect a similar olfactory experience – especially with the juniper. In the glass, as you can see, it pours clear with a low carbonation.

Bonus points

Sea Arch is going to be compatible with most people who have dietary requirements. I’ve got to say it is also great to look at, very smart use of blues and gold to enhance the design. Sea Arch is easily accessible in the UK but it is harder to find outside of Europe.
