Drink review – Sam Adams has created a non-alcoholic IPA beer for those who want to avoid the hangovers. Full of hoppy IPA flavours this will go down perfectly with a bowl of nuts and the big game.
For North Americans, Sam Adams is synonymous with beer but for Europeans, it is a less familiar beer brand – so here’s a potted history. Samuel Adams is actually the flagship brand of the Boston Beer Company which began brewing beers back in the 1980s. Since then the Samuel Adams brewery, based in Boston, has gone on to create some iconic beers and recently created an alcohol-free IPA – Just The Haze.
The brewery uses a mix of Citra, Mosaic, Sabro and Cascade hops to create the quintessential bitter and refreshing IPA characteristics. The beer is currently one of the most popular non-alcoholic beers in the US and has gone on to win the coveted gold medal for ‘best non-alcoholic’ beer at the Great American Beer Fest.
