Athletic Brewing Alcohol-free lager
I’ve already reviewed three Athletic Brewing alcohol-free beers with Free wave (IPA) achieving the highest score so it was about time I taste-tested their alcohol-free lager.
Athletic Brewing is a relatively new brewer based out in Connecticut, USA, and now has six different beers to choose from.
The beer I tried today is Athletic Brewing’s attempt at creating a light and refreshing lager that is perfect at a party or to accompany a meal. They use the finest ingredients and the latest tech to produce this alcohol-free beer.
So the question is, is this award winning alcohol-free lager one of Athletic Brewing’s better beers or one to be avoided? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.
Is Athletic Brewing Lager any good?
Taste
This is a pretty decent-tasting lager but does lack body somewhat. You do get some light hop and sweet malt flavours but as I say its a bit too watery compared to other alcohol-free lagers. Not bad but there are other better alcohol-free lagers out there.
Aroma & Appearance
Interesting hoppy aromas fill the air when you crack open a can of Athletic Brewing’s lager. In the glass, it hs a light amber colour and a decent frothy head.
Bonus points
This alcohol-free lager is low in calories (7 per 100ml) and suitable for vegans. Availability wise you can find Athletic Brewing beers from a number of retailers including their own site.
