Drink review – I am pleased to say Wilfred’s was a really tasty aperitif. I mixed it with some Schweppes tonic water, which created a refreshing bittersweet spritz that paired really well with my Thai curry.
As a fan of aperitifs, I was excited to discover Wilfred’s, a non-alcoholic orange and rosemary aperitif.
Wilfred’s was created by UK inventor Chris Wilfred Hughes who, after much experimenation created a non-alcoholic aperitif that works perfectly with a spritz.
This drink is made in the UK and uses natural botanicals, blending natural rosemary, bitter orange, rhubarb and clove. Worth noting that a serving is just 21 calories and contains zero alcohol so a perfect accompaniment for a refreshing cocktail.
Also worth pointing out that Wilfred’s was a winner of the Great British Food Awards so expectations are high. It’s also worth mentioning the fantastic packaging. They’ve made a real effort to bring to life a decadent, 1930s vibe.

I am pleased to say Wilfred’s was a really tasty aperitif. I mixed it with some Schweppes tonic water, which created a refreshing bittersweet drink that paired really well with my Thai curry. I didn’t get much in the way of rosemary but did taste some nice background citrus flavours. If you are looking for a sophisticated non-alcoholic aperitif you’ll struggle to find anything better than this.

When you open up a bottle of Wilfred’s you get some classic bittersweet aperitif aromas. In the glass, it pours with a vibrant ruby red colour.
