Drink review – Non-alcoholic Vinada Chardonnay wine is one of the best alcohol-free sparkling wines I’ve tried. Vinada has mastered the art of removing the alcohol but retaining the characteristics of a classic glass of chardonnay.
Vinada is a brand of non-alcoholic sparkling wines I came across on The Alcohol Free Co site and I decided to try out their non-alcoholic chardonnay (small 200 ml bottle).
If you’ve not come across Vinada before it was set up by Jessica, a Dutch entrepreneur, who wanted to create a collection of top-notch premium non-alcoholic wine alternatives. Since its creation six years ago Vinada now offers a range including a tempranillo rose, their award-winning airen gold and the crisp chardonnay I tried today. The brand has actually gone on to win over 20 awards for their wines and they are now available in over 30 countries, so big congrats to Jessica.
Like many other producers, Vinada follows a classic winemaking method for fermentation before using complex de-alcoholization processes and vacuum extraction to remove the alcohol from the wine but retain the body, flavour and aromas. This particular wine uses Chardonnay grapes sourced from the famous Languedoc region in France and resulting in its citrus crisp flavours.
Although I have high hopes for this wine, the question still stands … is Vinada a perfect accompaniment to a bowl of pasta or another DFTS (destined for the sink)? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.
Is non-alcoholic Vinada Chardonnay Wine any good?
Taste
When it comes to non-alcoholic wines this was a pretty decent tipple. When you first take a sip of Vinada you can certainly pick out the sharp chardonnay flavours and then it mellows out allowing the refreshing carbonation to bring to the forefront the various citrus and melon flavours. Overall one of the best non-alcoholic wines out there.
Aroma & Appearance
When you open a bottle of Vinada wine you are immediately hit with some pungent sweet, citrus aromas. As you can see, the wine pours with a light white colour and maintains a decent fizz.
Bonus points
This multi-award winning non-alcoholic wine should be applicable for most drinkers with dietary requirements. It is organic with zero alcohol and is suitable for vegans. It is also pretty low in calories. When it comes to availability, I found it online but you can also buy from Vinada’s site itself.
