Joker Alcohol-free IPA
Joker alcohol-free IPA is brewed by Williams Bros Brew, a craft brewery from Scotland. Since the 1980’s this brewery has been producing some great beers ad recently ventured down the alcohol-free route with Alienn Form a fruity IPA and Joker AF, the IPA I tasted today.
To create this ‘wickedly hoppy’ beer Williams Bros has used Thiolised yeast to create a full-bodied bitter-sweet IPA beer. Using four different hops including Cascade and Chinook you can expect some punchy flavours here.
So was this one big joke or does Joker really pack a punch? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below.
Is Joker alcohol-free beer any good?
Winner winner chicken dinner. This is a great alcohol-free beer and definitely in my top five. Why? For starters the combination of hops isn’t overpowering but actually very refreshing and the carbonation is perfect to help balance it out. I know it’s a good beer as immediately when I finished it (and it’s not a small can) I wanted another! Great show Williams Bros 🙂
Aroma & Appearance
Expect lots of hoppy aromas to tingle the nose. In the glass, Joker pours with a medium, cloudy amber look and a short frothy head.
Thankfully Joker AF will appeal to most people who have dietary requirements. Not only is it vegan-friendly but it is also gluten-free and reasonably low in calories. Availability wise outside the UK you may struggle to obtain a can but in the UK it’s best to use the retailer below.
