Drink review – Alcohol-free Kronenbourg 1664 is one of the best lagers I’ve had in quite some time. There is a really nice balance between the malt and hop flavours resulting in a refreshingly tasty beer; overall, recommended drinking.
Given I’ve reviewed almost 300 different alcohol-free drinks, I was shocked to find out I hadn’t yet reviewed the classic Kronenbourg 1664 beer. So when I saw the alcohol-free version in the local Asda I knew I had to give it a go.
Kronenbourg is one of France’s most iconic beer brands, and as the name explains, was founded over 360 years ago. The Kronenbourg 1664 brewery itself was established in 1952 and has gone on to produce some exceptional beers including the alcohol-free lager I tried today, named 1664 Biere 0.0%
Kronenbourg has spent centuries perfecting its beer, and the non-alcoholic version is no exception. 1664 Biere 0.0% only uses the highest quality natural ingredients resulting in an intense aromatic and flavour profile and it has zero percent alcohol!

Is Alcohol-free Kronenbourg 1664 any good?
Taste
Alcohol-free Kronenbourg 1664 is one of the best lagers I’ve had in quite some time. There is a really nice balance between the malt and hop flavours resulting in a refreshingly tasty beer. The carbonation is spot on with tight bubbles that don’t leave you feeling bloated; overall, recommended drinking.
Aroma & Appearance
You get some interesting malty, cereal notes when you open a can of Kronenbourg 0.0%. In the glass it has a light amber look with a low frothy head.
