Drink review – Nix & Kix have created one of the most refreshing pre-mixed non-alcoholic drinks I’ve reviewed for quite some time. Both the mint and cucumber flavours were bold in their flavour profile and worked well together and the added cayenne wasn’t overpowering, it just added a subtle zing.
Nix and Kix are a female-founded soft-drink brand from the UK. Over the past few months, I’ve noticed their cans and branding at a couple of supermarkets, so last week I grabbed a can and gave it a whirl.
They currently offer five different sparkling alcohol-free combinations including mango and ginger, watermelon and hibiscus and the cucumber and mint one I tried out today.
All Nix and Kix’s drinks are plant-based, have no added sugars or calories and can be drunk neat or added to alcohol-free spirits for an enhanced mocktail. Although each of the drinks have different flavour combos they all have added cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
Time Out called Nix and Kix “addictively tasty” so the question is, do they deserve a place on MyDryBar? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.

Are Nix and Kix drinks any good?
Taste
This drink was great and one of the most refreshing pre-mixed non-alcoholic drinks I’ve reviewed for quite some time. Both the mint and cucumber flavours were bold in their flavour profile and worked well together. I was a bit nervous about the added cayenne but it wasn’t overpowering and just added a subtle zing. I poured this over ice but can imagine it would pair nicely with a non-alcoholic gin. Recommended drinking indeed.
Aroma & Appearance
This Nix & Kix drink certainly had mojito-type aromas, especially some punchy mint. In the glass, it poured with a light cloudy lemonade colour.
