Hoax alcohol-free IPA beer
Hoax alcohol-free beer is a new non-alcoholic beer from the UK.
There isn’t much to go off with regard to the company except that it was set up by three friends who came up with the idea of producing an IPA beer that wouldn’t give you a hangover. Hoax itself isn’t a brewer, in fact, they’ve partnered with a leading brewery to create this beer.
One of the main points that they like to point out is that the beer is only made using top-quality malted barley and yeast. In addition, this IPA contains no artificial flavors, colours, or preservatives.
So the question is is this Hoax a flash in the pan or has legs to become a legend? Well, you’ll just need my review below to find out.
Is Hoax alcohol-free any good?
Taste
Not bad, not bad. Hoax is certainly not my favourite alcohol-free IPA beer nor is it the worst but lies somewhere in the middle. You can certainly pick out sweet malt flavours along with bitter hops but overall it was fairly non-descript in taste and body. Worth trying out but I wont be reaching for another can anytime soon.
Aroma & Appearance
The aroma from Hoax beer is very similar to an alcoholic IPA beer, dominated by the punchy hop smell. In the glass, it pours with a dark amber colour and reasonably frothy head.
