When you first take a sip of Road Runner, you get some nice malty notes but then the coffee flavour kicks in and the combination didn’t work for me as it dominated the hop and malt notes. I also found the carbonation a bit lacking too, overall a rather disappointing drink; much better alcohol-free stouts out there.
Sober Brummie makes for a decent non-alcoholic stout with plenty of rich flavours from the malt. It also has a good body and carbonation was spot on. My only criticism of this beer was that it was a tad too sweet compared to other AF stouts, still a decent tipple.

Alcohol-free Super Bock Stout is a decent beer but not one of my favourite non-alcoholic stouts due to its watery body and sour notes.
Ilkley’s Nowt Mary alcohol-free milk stout is one of the best dark stouts on the market. Complex, rich and full of interesting flavours it certainly packs a punch without packing the alcohol.
Overall Nirvana’s dark and rich alcohol-free stout is a good attempt at creating a non-alcoholic stout beer but the sweetness and carbonation let it down. Not bad – could do better.
