Drink review – Fever-Tree have created two very tasty and refreshing ready-to-drink mocktails in – an Italian Spritz and a Mediterranean G&T. Personally, my favourite was the non-alcoholic G&T thanks to plenty of citrus and aromatic flavours and a fantastic tonic. If you see them around, I recommend picking them up and giving them a try.

For the first time ever, Fever-Tree, one of the world’s best-known tonic brands, has entered the alcohol-free sector and come up with two mocktails. As you can imagine, as soon as I saw them on offer, I knew I had to give them a go.

Fever-Tree is a British drinks brand founded over 20 years ago by Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow. Since then, they’ve gone on to create some award-winning drinks, including tonic waters, sodas, mixers and the non-alcoholic mocktails I tried out.

The two mocktails are a Mediterranean G&T and Italian Spritz. Each drink has been produced using distilled botanicals and completely free from artificial flavourings or sweeteners.

The alcohol-free Fever-Tree GnT blends distilled botanicals including juniper berries with their classic Mediterranean tonic flavour. The Italian Spritz combines Fever-Tree’s Italian Blood Orange Soda with distilled herbs, spices & citrus extracts.

So the question is, is Fever-Tree’s foray into the world of alcohol-free drinks a good thing or should they stick to making tonics? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.

Are Fever-Tree mocktails any good?

Taste

Good news. Both drinks Fever-Tree has created are very tasty indeed. The GnT is probably the most impressive if you were to compare it to an alcoholic GnT with plenty of citrus and aromatic flavours and as you can expect, the tonic is spot on. The alcohol-free Spritz is also particularly good with well-balanced bittersweet flavours  (very reminiscent of top scoring – Spritz-ISH). Overall, I can recommend both options if you are looking for a refreshing alcohol-free drink.

Aroma & Appearance

Each drink has its distinctive aroma with citrus, peppery smells from the GnT and herbal, orange aromas from the Spritz. When poured into a glass they both look like their alcoholic equivalents.
