Drink review – Well, the good news is that Alien Form by William Bros Brew certainly packs an IPA punch. I mean this really does go big on the fruity citrus, hoppy flavours. If I’m being critical, for me, it may be a bit too bitter compared to Joker IPA but Alien Form is still a very decent non-alcoholic IPA indeed.
I’m not going to lie, I was immediately drawn to this non-alcoholic beer due to its impactful imagery. However when I then saw it was by Williams Bros I knew I had to try Alien Form. The last time I tried a William Bros Brew beer was their Joker IPA which scored a remarkable 87 (the highest-scoring IPA at this point) so I had pretty high expectations for Alien Form.
If you’ve not heard of Williams Bros Brew before they are a craft brewery from Scotland who have been creating beers for almost half a century. With over 50 different beers to choose from including four AF beers, you are bound to find a drink that suits you.
Alien Form is so named because it is rather outer-worldly thanks to it being biotransformed via Thiolised yeast. You can also expect a mouth explosion with the addition of SIX different hops including Amarillo, Sabro and Galaxy.
So the question is, will Alien Form topple its sibling rival in being the best non-alcoholic IPA out there? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.
Is Non-alcoholic Alien Form any good?
Taste
Well, the good news is that Alien Form certainly packs an IPA punch. I mean this really does go big on the fruity citrus, hoppy flavours. If I’m being critical, for me, it may be a bit too bitter compared to Joker IPA but Alien Form is still a very decent non-alcoholic IPA indeed. The carbonation is spot on and although this is a big can I didn’t feel bloated after finishing it off. Another great alcohol-free beer from William Bros.
Aroma & Appearance
As you can probably imagine, given six different hops are used to make Alien Form, the citrus aroma released is not shy in coming forward. In the glass it pours with a light amber look and decent frothy head.
