Drink review – This alcohol-free pale ale is definitely one of the greats. The sweetness of the fruit is really well balanced against the bitter hop combination resulting in a refreshing and tasty beer; and one I shall be heading back to regularly.
Some time back I came across, and tried, a mango pale ale from Only With Love (which I wrote a positive review on) so I was pretty happy when I came across a can of their alcohol-free tropical pale ale.
For those who didn’t read my previous review Only with Love is a UK-based craft brewery founded in 2020. They currently have thirteen different beers on the site including two alcohol-free beers.
To create this vegan-friendly tropical pale ale Only With Love have used an interesting combination of hops (Idaho 7, El Dorado and Citra) along with exotic fruit flavours (including papaya and pineapple).
So the question is is this ale just as good as its mango sibling? Well, you’ll just need my review below to find out.
Is Juicy AF any good?
Taste
Well, this is certainly a contender for the best alcohol-free pale ale in 2024. Only With Love’s subtle use of tropical flavours is a masterpiece. Unlike other beers, the sweetness of the fruit isn’t overdone but balanced really nicely with the bitter hop combination they’ve used. Overall this is a great refreshing alcohol-free beer and one I shall be heading back to.
Aroma & Appearance
When you crack open a can of this tropical pale ale you are hit with a medley of rich fruit aromas. In the glass this beer has a cloudy light amber look with a shallow foam head.
Bonus points
Finally I just want to point out the cool graphics that Only With Love use. Not sure who this chap is meant to be on the side of the can but I think you can agree its pretty unmistakable.
