Drink review – I liked the taste of Bitburger’s alcohol-free Pils beer, particularly enjoying the bitter, crisp finish from the hops. Overall, this is a tasty and refreshing beer that will please most pilsner drinkers.
Bitburger is one of Germany’s oldest breweries (200 years+) still in private ownership, continuing to produce top quality beer. There are two alcohol-free drinks on offer including a radler and this particular alcohol-free beer I found on the Wise Bartender site.
Bitburger Drive to give it its proper name is an alcohol-free premium pils beer. Just like other German non-alcoholic beers I’ve reviewed in the past, Bitburger follows the strict German Beer Purity laws so expect a hoppy, clean and crisp beer.
The question is, does Bitburger follow a number of its German peers in producing a tasty and refreshing non-alcoholic beer? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.
Is Alcohol-free Bitburger beer any good?
Taste
I liked the taste of Bitburger’s alcohol-free Pils beer, particularly enjoying the bitter, crisp finish from the hops and background sweetness from the malt. Carbonation was spot on so I didn’t feel bloated after polishing off a bottle. Overall a very tasty beer that will please most pilsner drinkers.
Aroma & Appearance
You certainly get some bitter note aromas when you open a bottle of this beer. In the glass, Bitburger Drive has a medium amber look with a short frothy head.
