Just in time for BBQ season! I found this lime-flavoured non-alcoholic Bud on the Wise Bar Tender site.
Last year I tried Budweiser’s alcohol-free lager and truth be told it wasn’t great so I had mixed expectations when I saw this. That said I have enjoyed a number of citrus/ alcohol-free beer drinks so I thought it only fair I give this a go.
I can’t find a huge amount about its production but what I gather is that they’ve taken traditional non-alcoholic beer and mixed it with real lime juice to produce that bittersweet refreshing taste.
The question is, is this better than the OG Bud? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.

Is non-alcoholic Bud lime any good?
Taste
Hoorah. Yes, this is most definitely tastier and more enjoyable than non-alcoholic Budweiser. This is more reminiscent of Free Damm’s lemon lager or Kaiserdom’s lemon beer … but in this case, the citrus notes are a lot more pronounced; and if anything I prefer the flavours. With this Bud lime drink, you still get background flavours of the hoppy and sweet malty beer but it’s cut-through perfectly with the edginess of the lime. Overall a real thirst quencher for summer.
Aroma & Appearance
This non-alcoholic beer has shandy-inspired aromas and you certainly get whiffs of citrus. In the glass Bud lime pours with a medium cloudy amber look and a low froth head. s
Bonus points
Bud Lime is just 0.3% ABV and is suitable for vegans however it is not gluten-free. I’ve not come across this beer in supermarkets so your best bet is to stock up via online specialists.
