Drink review – Pulp has created an alcohol-free cider jammed full of refreshing apple flavour. The tannins help cut through the sweetness of the apple and the carbonation is spot on, resulting in a great thirst quencher.
I haven’t reviewed an alcohol-free cider for a while now, and considering we’re in the midst of summer, it’s about time. Thankfully, Pulp alcohol-free cider turned up so I knew I had to give it a go.
Pulp is a Herefordshire, UK-based drinks company that, since its launch in 2014, has produced nine different cider,s including the alcohol-free one I tried today.
Pulp only makes cider from apples grown on the farm, including the non-alcoholic variety. After making the cider they remove the alcohol, leaving just 0.5% ABV. Also worth noting that this is gluten-free and suitable for vegans.
So the question is, is this cider a perfect accompaniment to a summer’s BBQ? Well, you’ll just need to read my review below to find out.
Is Pulp Alcohol-free Cider any good?

This is another great alcohol-free cider jammed full of refreshing apple flavour. Even though its only 0.5% ABV you can still taste some tannins which cut through the sweetness of the apple. Overall the carbonation is spot on, resulting in a great thirst quencher.
Aroma & Appearance
Lots of punchy apple aromas fill the nostril when you pop open a bottle of alcohol-free Pulp cider. In the glass this cider pours with a medium light amber look.
