Drink review – Mavrik’s non-alcoholic mojito is not bad as a citrus flavoured soft drink but, due to its overpowering lime flavour, isn’t particularly believable as a true alternative to a mojito.
Given its summer and I haven’t reviewed a non-alcoholic mojito for a couple of years (Savyll’s mojito) I was pleased to come across Mavrik’s non-alcoholic Cuban Mojito.
If you didn’t read my review on the last Mavrik mocktail I tried (non-alcoholic Espresso Martini) Mavrik is a UK drinks company who have gone on to produce a number of alcohol-free, low-calorie alternatives to traditional cocktails. There are currently six different drinks to choose from such as the passion star martini, storm and spicy and the one I tried today – the non-alcoholic mojito.
A classically made mojito includes rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint … and these are all the flavours Mavrik have had to create for their pre-mixed mocktail. I poured my Cuba Mojito straight into a glass with ice however they do recommend adding extra mint for some zing.

Is Mavrik Non-alcoholic Mojito any good?
Taste
Although this non-alcoholic mojito was pretty decent but truth be told it wasn’t as good as Savyll’s version. What I found was that the citrus flavour overpowered all the other flavours making it taste more like a soft drink as opposed to a mocktail. Overall it is drinkable but for die-hard mojito enthusiasts you’ll be disappointed.
Aroma & Appearance
Interestingly the aroma of this mocktail is more similar to a traditional mojito than the taste itself. It has a translucent look when poured into the glass with a slight carbonation.
